DNASU is one of my clients while working at The Cronkite Agency. This client is a non-profit looking to increase media presence and promote itself as a trusted leader in the biology research community. My team created blog articles, press releases and a webinar media kit. We earned coverage in outlets such as:

Press Release & Pitch

I collaborated on a press release about a new Valley Fever diagnostics test being developed by DNASU. I also gathered facts, obtained quotes from the client and pitched to 17 media contacts. The pitch took a public health angle and targeted local Phoenix outlets.

Media Coverage

The Valley Fever press release was picked up by 12News for a digital story written in English and Spanish. 12News is a local affiliate of NBC that has over 1 million unique visitors per month on their website.

Blog Articles

My team produced a total of six articles for a new blog page on the DNASU website. The blogs aim to attract visitors with beginner-friendly topics and give a more personable look into the DNASU team. I contributed two articles: The History of DNASU with founder Dr. Joshua LaBaer, and Meet the Newest Members of DNASU.

Webinar Media Kit

My team planned a webinar for the client that would feature researchers who have purchased plasmids from DNASU. The webinar would take place after my team's contract with the client ends, so we prepared materials that DNASU could use to promote the webinar: a press release, a media list and media pitches.
